CBT: In Guildford & Online

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that examines your thoughts and helps you manage problems by changing how you think and behave.

It generally offers symptom relief in 10-20 sessions.

DBT: In Guildford & Online

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) teaches you about triggers that lead to reactive states and helps with emotional and cognitive regulation. You’ll develop coping skills to change short and long-term emotional and behavioural patterns.

DBT is particularly effective for:

  • BPD/EUPD
  • impulsive behaviours
  • self-harm
  • binge eating

Our DBT programme includes group skills training, individual DBT and crisis skills coaching. It’s available both online and at our clinic in Guildford, Surrey.

The group sessions can be attended as a standalone programme, while the full programme is available via self-referral or psychiatrist referral.

Dr Jo Gee

Jo is the Clinical Director and leads her experienced therapy team. She is a senior Clinical Psychotherapist, with 17 years experience delivering psychotherapeutic treatment and developing NHS, forensic and private therapeutic services in the UK.

An expert in personality disorders, she has a specialist interest in the treatment of emotional difficulties, perinatal mental health, and personality disorders in men, women and adolescents.

Dr Gee leads her team in the use of evidence-based treatments, ensuring interventions are in line with NICE guidelines and support current research. Jo carefully curated her team over many years, and is passionate about offering expert guidance and scientifically backed treatments to bring about long term change.

PSYCHIATRY & THERAPY FEES

Our online and Guildford clinic fees range from £90-120 for a 50-minute session or £100 for a therapy group.

Psychiatry is £390 for the initial assessment and £220 for follow-up appointments.

Sessions can be self-funded, or funded through health insurance, local authority or workplace schemes. We accept most insurance providers, including AXA, WPA, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna and more. Some concessions are available, and payment plans are available also.

We offer short and long-term therapy arrangements so do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss setting up sessions.

We specialise in diagnosing and treating people with a wide range of mental illnesses. Our psychiatrists are highly skilled and can diagnosis a range of conditions, setting up treating plans and prescribing medication where necessary.
The initial in-depth 90 minute assessment is £390, with follow up appointments being priced at £220.
We offer a range of approaches including short term and long term psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, mindfulness and more.
We can help with a range of issues and diagnoses, from BPD/EUPD, OCD, depression and anxiety, to life events and issues you want to explore.
When you meet your therapist for the initial assessment session, we will give you an outline of the different modalities, and in order to meet your goals, will let you know which approach is best suited to you. We can integrate approaches too!
If you continue to practice what we’ve learnt in the sessions, then the benefits are long term. Some people prefer to book a catch up session post treatment to help maintain gains made during the work.

After you have had a 15 minute free consultation, we book you in for an assessment. In the assessment, the therapist will take you through an assessment form, and will give you some forms and questionnaires to fill in. You will have time to ask questions, and we will talk you know a roadmap of your treatment going forward.

We treat children from age the of 4 , adolescents and adults.
We offer treatment for a wide range of mental health related problems including anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, compulsive behaviours and depression, along with work, health and relationship issues.
You can self-refer or we accept referrals from other healthcare professionals.
This appointment will normally last either 50 or 90 minutes. During this time we will explore your life and family history, your general health and any previous psychiatric history, along with any dependencies and traumatic life experiences.
Yes. A partner or friend may be able to add useful information.
Please bring details of any current medication and any reports or assessments that may be helpful. You might also like to write a list of any issues you would like to discuss.
We will recommend a suitable treatment plan and any medication if required and agreed.
