Why you should consider counselling

Counselling is a great way to talk through your issues and struggles with an experienced and understanding professional. Counselling can help you gain insight, clarity and understanding into your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, enabling you to make more informed decisions about your life. In Godalming Surrey, counselling services are easily accessible and provide a wide range of services. All counsellors and psychotherapists are a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), meaning they adhere to a rigorous code of ethics and practice, so you can be sure that the highest quality of care is provided.

Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions in a non-judgmental way, allowing you to make meaningful changes in your life. It can help resolve immediate difficulties while also aiding long-term growth and development. As such, counselling is an invaluable tool for anyone wanting to begin the journey towards self-awareness, personal growth and change.

Why choose Dr Jo Gee Therapy for your counselling?

They offer a sympathetic, confidential and non-judgmental environment in which to explore any personal issues or difficulties you may have. What conditions can counselling treat?

Counselling can help with a wide range of mental health issues including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship problems. It can also be used to explore personal development goals such as self-confidence or assertiveness.

Depression can be incredibly debilitating, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and hopeless. Counselling can help to identify the underlying causes of your depression, helping you gain insight and understanding into your symptoms. It also allows you to explore strategies for managing your depression in a safe and supportive environment. By talking openly about your struggles with a professional counsellor or psychotherapist, you can begin to take control of your mental health and start the journey towards recovery.

Trauma can have a deeply damaging effect on your mental health, leaving you feeling powerless and afraid. Counselling is an effective way to address the symptoms of trauma, allowing you to understand and process what has happened in a safe environment. Through counselling, you can begin to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, helping you regain control over your life and begin to heal.

Relationships can be complicated and often require outside help to navigate the difficult times. Counselling offers a safe place to explore any issues or conflicts between you and your partner, as well as identifying ways in which you can build stronger and more rewarding relationships. It’s also an opportunity to learn about healthy communication strategies that can help to prevent further conflict.

To start the journey towards self-awareness, personal growth and change for any of the conditions discussed then please contact Dr Jo Gee Therapy today. We will start with a mini assessment just to get to know you and what we think will work for you. We will also set smart goals that are achievable and allow you to gain professional success or improve another aspect of your life. It lasts around 50 minutes and helps us understand your needs better. All this can be booked via the convenient online form or give us a call!
