What is EUPD Therapy?

EUPD stands for Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, also known as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). It is a mental health condition that can affect how you feel about yourself and others. People with EUPD often experience intense emotions that can change quickly, and they may have difficulty maintaining healthy relationships.

Symptoms of EUPD

  • Impulsivity: People with EUPD may engage in risky or impulsive behaviors, such as substance abuse, unsafe sex, or reckless driving.
  • Mood swings: People with EUPD may experience intense and rapidly changing moods, such as feeling very happy one minute and very sad the next.
  • Fear of abandonment: People with EUPD may have an intense fear of being abandoned by loved ones, which can lead to clingy or manipulative behavior.
  • Anxiety and irritability: People with EUPD may experience high levels of anxiety and irritability, which can make it difficult to maintain relationships.
  • Anger: People with EUPD may have difficulty managing their anger, which can lead to outbursts or aggressive behaviour.

How Dr. Jo Gee Can Help

Dr. Jo Gee is a qualified therapist who specialises in helping people with EUPD. She offers a variety of evidence-based treatments, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). DBT is a comprehensive program that has been shown to be effective in helping people with EUPD manage their emotions, improve their relationships, and reduce self-harming behaviours.

What to Expect in Therapy

If you are considering therapy for EUPD, you can expect to meet with Dr. Gee for an initial consultation. During this consultation, she will discuss your symptoms and goals for treatment. She will then develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs.

Therapy for EUPD typically involves individual therapy sessions, as well as group skills training. In individual therapy, you will work with Dr. Gee to learn about EUPD and develop coping mechanisms for managing your emotions. In group skills training, you will learn skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
